The TRW plant of Ostellato was set up in 1997, resulting from a joint venture between TRW, an American multinational corporation and Marzocchi Pompe s.r.l., an Italian company. It is a leading automotive enterprise, specialised in the design and manufacturing of hydraulic power-assisted steering pumps.

“We decided to build and locate this plant in San Giovanni di Ostellato because of the features characterising this area: its longstanding mechanic engineering tradition, synergy with the network of the other already settled enterprises and the availability of highly qualified human resources.
To this regard, we have established a few co-operation agreements with the Faculty of Economics and Engineering of the University of Ferrara, to hire skilled human resources that have provided us with added value and have actively contributed to research and development.”
