The project:
The Cispadane axis is of strategic importance for the whole provincial territory, because it will cater for the needs the areas along the Emilia corridor that run parallel to the Po River and it will link Ferrara to Parma.
The Cispadane axis is one of the regional development projects. It will supplement the “Central-western Corridor” infrastructure system, running parallel to the Emilia Way.
The Ferrara Cispadane section connects Southern Ferrara to St. Agostino (to the west), thus facilitating communications between the Upper District of Ferrara and the other Emilia provinces.

Timing:
The Poggio Renatico - San Carlo section is now under construction, whereas the last section from St. Agostino to the provincial border is at the final design stage.
