The project:
The Venice-Ravenna connection will become faster thanks to the construction of the E55 highway. This highway will assure the connection with North-Eastern Italy and with Eastern Europe.
This project has a strategic importance because it is the first step towards the building of the Adriatic corridor.

Timing:
The Emilia-Romagna Region and the Veneto Region have submitted the preliminary projects of the whole axis to ANAS, the National Highway Authority. ANAS is now developing a project financing tender for the construction and management of the toll-paying E55 Highway.
