The Province of Ferrara is equipped with an infrastructure and communication system, which is bound to be further strengthened.

Work in progress
The Cispadane axis will link Ferrara to Parma. It will also concern the Northern Modena motorway junction and the Brenner motorway link-up.

Projects at the drawing board stage
- The future E55 motorway will assure a high-speed connection between Ravenna and Venice.
- The waterway network will assure the intermodal freight from the port of Ravenna to Ferrara.
- The cabling of the Province of Ferrara (scheduled by 2006, when more than 20,000 km optical fibre cables will be installed) will assure a quick transfer of data and information.
